A Ph.D. graduate of Yeshiva University, Benjamin S. Fialkoff completed his training at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in New York City where he was a Senior Staff Psychologist. In 1987 he became a full-time independent practitioner. He is a licensed psychologist in New York and New Jersey. He has had an office in Greenwich Village continuously since 1976 and in Ridgewood, New Jersey since 1978.

He has trained in and specializes in Hypno-Behavioral psychotherapeutic techniques. He is certified in Clinical Hypnosis from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Fialkoff provides treatment for phobias, depression and stress; helps people cope with the psychological affects of illness; and provides deep relaxation training to control fear, pain or anxiety for childbirth, dentistry, sports, habit control (smoking, overeating), tests, sales and stress.

He is featured in such publications as WebMD, the APA Monitor, the Record, the Wall Street Journal, Computerworld, Men's Fitness, Rodale Press, and the New York Daily News; and has appeared on UA Columbia, and Fox News 5.

Dr. Fialkoff is also certified APA-CPP in substance use disorders from the American Psychological Association's Board of Governors of the APA College of Professional Psychology. He has been an EAP provider nationwide for over 15 years. In that regard, he has been featured in Executive Business Magazine, Drugs in the Workplace, and on CNBC TV America's Vital Signs. He was a consultant for and an on-camera instructor for the National Briefing Center's educational video Screening, Monitoring, and Controlling Substance Abuse in the Workplace. As a presenter, he gave a full day seminar for the Alcoholism Council/Fellowship Center of New York on Relapse Prevention: Theory and Practice.

Dr. Fialkff holds membership in the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the American Association of Professional Hypnotherapists, the National Guild of Hypnotists, the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists and the American Psychological Association and its Divisions of Sport Psychology and Hypnosis.
